Memphis, TN—Ave Maria Home, a long-term care retirement community in Bartlett, TN, will receive the former Power & Tel headquarters at 2673 Yale Avenue in Memphis from The Pentecost Family. The Pentecost Family will present the building and land to Frank Gattuso, Jr., Ave Maria’s Executive Director, during a presentation on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at the Yale Avenue address. Power & Tel recently moved their global headquarters to Piperton, TN. The Pentecost Family is donating the building and land to Ave Maria Home to help further the Home’s mission of caring for elders in the community: “We give to Ave Maria because their care of elders and the vulnerable is compassionate, trustworthy, and needed in every community of Memphis.”
Frank Gattuso, Ave Maria’s Executive Director, stated the donation of the Power & Tel Building will allow Ave Maria to continue providing quality healthcare in the midtown and downtown areas: “There are very few long term care options for elders and low income individuals in these areas.”
This year Ave Maria Home celebrates 65 Years of caring for elders in our community. Since its founding in 1956 as a Care Home for men and women of all faiths, Ave Maria has expanded its programs and services and now offers Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing in seven Green House® Homes; and short-term Physical, Speech, and Occupational Therapy in two Rehab Green House Homes. Four years ago, Ave Maria purchased St. Clare Health & Rehab, a small nursing home in north midtown, and moved that long term care home to its Bartlett Campus.
For more information about this donation, please contact Frank Gattuso, Ave Maria’s Executive Director, at 901-405-3793.
